West Meon Music Festival 2017


This year The Primrose Piano Quartet are again joined by world-famous clarinettist Michael Collins for a concert featuring the Brahms Clarinet Quintet. They also welcome guests: Violinist Ian Belton (Brodsky Quartet) , Mezzo Soprano Louise Winter (Soloist with Royal Opera, Glyndebourne & Garsington) and the brilliant Vickers-Bovey guitar duo.

The 2017 festival features Brahms in each programme and again is supporting The Rosemary Foundation, providing a ‘Hospice at Home’ service in Petersfield and the surrounding towns and villages. The proceeds from concert 2 and from collections over the weekend will go to the charity. For more details visit its website:

Charity Children's Concert

Fun for all the family with Witches, Wizards and Fairies
Includes The Sugar Plum Fairy, Saint-Saëns Danse Macabre,
Ravel Mother Goose, Harry Potter and much more.
Come in fancy dress and bring a bear for protection.
Refreshments available from 10:30 am.
Proceeds go to the Rosemary Foundation.

Tea Concert with Louise Winter, Mezzo Soprano

Top Mezzo Soprano Louise Winter joins the Primrose
for a musical exploration of the fascinating and turbulent
love triangle between Brahms and the Schumanns,
the songs integrated with the two Piano Quartets.


Clara Schumann: Ich stand in dunklen Träumen,
O du mein Stern, Warum willst du and're fragen.
Robert Schumann: Die Lotusblume, Widmung, Der Nussbaum.
Brahms: Der Tod das ist die kühle Nacht, Die Nachtigall, Ständchen.

Brahms: Two Songs with Viola Op. 91
